Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, has an immediate need for a Full-time Recruitment and College Access Specialist in the Student Affairs - Access department. The work schedule is 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday - Friday with occasional nights and weekends. This is a Non-Bargaining, Non-exempt, Grade 23 position. Non-exempt positions are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. This position is eligible for telework up to1 day after successful completion of initial employment probationary period.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Participate in community programs such as community fairs, business expos, metropolitan area schools, and other colleges to support the College’s outreach efforts as well as recruitment goals. Provide admissions information, guidance and application assistance to prospective students.

• Develop targeted presentations for various audiences and public settings, in order to showcase the College's programs and services. Counsel students and parents on the admissions and enrollment process, programs and support services. Assess enrollment needs of potential students to determine the appropriate goals, impediments, and barriers for credit/non-credit course work.

• Coordinate and/or manage multiple databases, electronic and other forms of communication including but not limited to, coordinating recruitment mailings and emails; generating reports to research, identify and analyze measures that enhance recruitment and enrollment goals/objectives. Coordinate collegewide and campus specific visit programs; manage logistics; design activities to generate attendance; coordinate faculty participation of their respective areas; arrange for registration processes.

• Track enrollment of potential students and develop strategies to facilitate enrollment based upon enrollment analysis. Counsel students on criteria and admissibility to special programs. Analyze enrollment trends to provide analytics, data conversion, new outreach ideas, and develop intervention strategies to facilitate enrollment.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a related field, and/or any combination of education, training and experience providing understanding of the field and the ability to perform the duties of the job.

• Three years of progressively responsible customer service, general office, enrollment, admissions and/or recruiting experience in an institute of higher learning or similar environment.

• Knowledge of MS Office, email, project/time management, and Internet applications.

• Ability to develop and present technical documentation and training materials.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

• May require the ability to proficiently communicate orally and in writing in a second language in addition to English.
• Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Admissions and/or enrollment in higher education experience preferred.

• Proficiency in communicating in Spanish orally and in writing strongly preferred.

Hiring Range $24.45 to $31.77 per hour. Initial salary placement is based on candidate experience and internal equity. Please include a complete resume including all relevant and related work experience.
